Under 13 Cricket

At the Under 13 age level, the District Board organises a 20-over competition with the competing clubs split geographically into 2 leagues. A further league, known as the “B” league is organised for those clubs who either have sufficient numbers to enter “B” teams or do not have sufficient strength to compete at “A” team level. Matches are normally played on Sunday mornings, starting at 9.30 or 10.00 am but re-arranged matches can be played in the evenings where convenient. At the end of the season, there are semi-final play-offs between the 4 teams finishing as winners or runners up in the 2 main leagues with a final played during the first week in September. In addition, during May, the District Board organises the first 2 rounds of the National Under 13 20-over competition with the successful clubs moving forward into the County-wide rounds for which the winner receives the David Bradford Cup before competing in the National rounds.
