    The South Essex District Cricket Board will be staging its annual indoor softball six a side cricket competition for women and girls. The event starts on Tuesday 14th March 2017 at 7pm. Teams with novice players are particularly welcome. There are no fees to pay, all we ask for is a commitment to fulfil the fixtures. Umpires will be provided.

    Hadleigh and Thundersley cricket club became South Essex Indoor Champions last night (Sunday) following a twelve-run win at the Chelmsford indoor centre. This was quite an achievement, as their opponents, Belhus, were last year’s National champions.     Another great game in the Basildon Last Man Stand league took place last night, 8th June. GoogleyBox played HODS and came out on top with a 74 run victory. Batting first GoogleyBox posted an impressive 168-8 after 20 overs. Rhys Neil took 2-9 off his 4 overs. Josh Gridley scored a big hitting 53 and Dan Compton a well-made 62.

    On Saturday 23rd January 2016, The Essex Auto Group Graham Gooch Indoor Cricket Centre played host to the Essex County Indoor Cricket Finals Day. The Day comprised of two Semi-Finals followed by the Final. The first Semi-Final saw Belhus Cricket Club beat Harlow Town by 44 runs. Belhus batted first and amassed 120 all out from their innings but Harlow
