Coaching at Grays School
No further bookings are being taken for the current junior and youth coaching scheme at Grays School.
Please note there are no sessions on either Sundays 12th or 19th of February 2012 due to the half-term holiday between those Sundays. Coaching resumes on Sunday 26th February 2012 and continues each Sunday up to and including Sunday 1st April 2012. (The 1st April is a replacement date for the cancelled week of 5th February).
Details of the sessions being offered are as follows:
2pm – Junior Nets. Participants must be able to bowl properly and reasonably accurately and ideally have completed a thorough grounding in basic skills coaching. It is advisable that players in this group have had regular experiece of playing hard-ball cricket at youth A-team level. Target group – school years 7, 8 and 9. Players are asked to wear whites and unsoiled indoor trainers. Please bring your full cricket equipment, including bat, protective equipment and a good quality cricket ball. Each session ends just before 3pm.
3pm – Junior Nets. Exactly the same course as above, it’s a duplicate session to cater for demand at this age group and ability level, utilising up to two of the four nets available, concurrent with the session below which will be in different nets.
3pm – Youth Nets. Players should be well-established in club adult teams, most likely second eleven standard or higher. Target groups – College students and school years 10 and 11. Players are asked to wear cricket whites and unsoiled indoor trainers. Please bring your full cricket equipment, including bat, protective equipment and a good quality cricket ball. Each session ends just before 4pm.
The above three sessions are equally available to girls as well as boys.
